With less familiar Nile cruise lines, shorter itineraries are more common. You can find three-night cruises starting at around $600 per person and four-night journeys from $750. Seven-night cruises can start as low as $1,200 but are less inclusive. While you can start your Nile cruise from Cairo, you also have the choice to make the journey in the opposite direction and travel northward. There are Nile River cruises from Aswan as well, typically making the same stops as those that start in Cairo or Luxor (depending on the specific itinerary and length).
EPIC NILE CRUISE HOLIDAYS
This wonderful Long Cruise showcases all the main highlights of the Nile Valley, the superb lesser visited sites of Middle Egypt as well as the iconic Giza Pyramids and Sphinx in Cairo. This morning of your Luxury Nile Cruise from Cairo package will be spent exploring the Giza necropolis where you can admire the famous pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You will also visit the Valley Temple and the Solar Boat Museum. We boarded Movenpick MS Darakum in Cairo, a nice boat with comfortable cabins, and a large sundeck with a large swimming pool. The trip was unforgettable, as were the boat service and fantastic excursions.

For many people, this can be a bit jarring but also somewhat reassuring. From Cairo, you'll fly, usually by chartered plane, to Luxor, where you will join your cruise ship. Luxor is a magical port that's home to the famous Valley of the Kings. In some cases, you'll spend a couple days in Luxor to explore, either before or after your sailing. Some cruise packages will also include one or more other attractions in and around Aswan. Also, it is quite often possible for passengers to book an optional tour to the famous Abu Simbel temples while they are in Aswan.
Day Mövenpick MS Darakum Cruise from Cairo to Aswan
At the appropriate time, based on what time your flight is, your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you and then transfer you to the airport in time for you to catch your flight back home. Your stay in Egypt might be over, but you have gained so many memories that will stay with you forever. Have dinner at the usual time, and enjoy another wonderfully relaxing night on the water, this time at Kom Ombo. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea at the usual times, and then at 18h30 you will visit the twin temples of Kom Ombo that were dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god. At 07h00, while the weather is still cool and pleasant, your guide will take you and the other member of your small group for a tour on the West Bank. Your first stop will be Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal burial ground containing more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen.
DAY 8 – Luxury Nile Cruise from Cairo Ends
The city offers other enticing excursions, like the Nubian Museum, which showcases the impressive history of Nubia (the area along the Nile between Aswan and Khartoum in Sudan). When taking a Nile River cruise, you can either make your way south or north. If you're interested in the southbound option, you'll likely start your Nile river cruise in Cairo -- and for good reason. Prices are quoted in US Dollars per person per trip and valid until September 30th, 2021, except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays. • Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights within Egypt.
If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to the airline’s cancellation policy. Your stop at Beni Suef typically includes two excursions, one to the Maydom Pyramid and one to the Dahshour pyramids. Located just a short distance from Beni Suef, is a site that is home to one large pyramid and several smaller mastabas. The large pyramid, also known as the Maydom Pyramid, is believed to be the second pyramid ever built in Egypt, and it was originally constructed for Pharaoh Huni who was the last pharaoh of the 3rd dynasty.
Lunch and Dinner on board sail to Aswan and overnight in Aswan. After breakfast visit the Temple of Edfu, one of the best preserved Temple in Egypt. After breakfast visit three of the rock-tombs of Beni Hassan that are carved into the high limestone cliffs of the east bank of the Nile. The painted scenes depict the daily lives of the rulers and their families including scenes of desert hunting, weaving, spinning, fishing, country living, gathering crops and catching birds. Sailing to Tel El Amarna Lunch and Dinner on board overnight in Tel Amarna.
You will also visit Deir El Medina to see the ruins of a village which was once home to the workers who constructed and decorated the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Once out of the airport, your tour manager and one of our drivers will then transfer you to the hotel where you will be staying during your time in Cairo.

As a general rule, cruise ships make an early morning departure from Cairo on the third day, and they spend the day sailing to Beni Suef, a journey which takes approximately 12 hours. This makes today a wonderful day for relaxing out on the water, while you are watching the world go by. By the time you arrive at Beni Suef, it will be too late for any sightseeing tours, so those only take place the next day, when you will be taken to see the wonderful Maydom Pyramid, and also the amazing Dahshour Pyramids.
There are also possibilities to spend time relaxing in the sun on the Red Sea Riviera in Hurghada, El Gouna or Soma Bay after your Nile Cruise. At around lunchtime, you will be taken for lunch at a good quality local restaurant which has proved to be very popular with our clients. The tour and the cruise were amazing, but to me, it was a bit long. However, the shoulder seasons, which are spring and fall, come with milder temperatures that range between 70 to 90 degrees. All of our Egypt Vacations are fully customizable and can be tailored to meet your own exact needs because it’s your vacation, and we believe you should be able to enjoy it your way.
Sadly, not much remains of the actual city, other than the temple. You won’t be staying at Tel El Amarna overnight, but you will enjoy an excursion to see a collection of ancient tombs known as the Northern Tombs. After these tombs, you’ll visit the Royal Tomb of Akhenaten, the Great Palace of King Akhenaten, and finally the “Small” and “Great” temples of Aten.
The temple of Kom Ombo was built on the honor of two deities the crocodile-headed Sobek, and Haroeris. Located on the east bank of the Nile, Karnak Temple Complex consists of a number of temples. Its name was given as in Arabic Karnak means fortified village.
